A buyback desk built for volume IT estates
AssetBuyBack buys end-of-life and ex-lease technology from the organisations that end up holding it — liquidators, leasing companies and corporate IT teams — paying on a price basis, clearing on schedule and returning serial-level proof of destruction.
We buy the whole estate
AssetBuyBack is a volume buyer of end-of-life and ex-lease IT. We purchase entire estates — laptops and 2-in-1s, desktops and workstations, servers and storage arrays, networking and AV, phones, tablets and monitors — in working, faulty or salvage condition, anywhere in Australia. A manifest goes to the buyback desk, a buyer prices it line by line rather than by the pallet, and a price basis comes back within one business day. Once it is accepted we collect on the agreed schedule, count and grade every unit on site, then settle by EFT.
The business exists for the people who inherit technology they never chose to buy: liquidators and insolvency practitioners clearing a site before a lease runs out, leasing and asset-finance firms recovering residual value from returned fleets, and corporate IT teams decommissioning a floor or retiring a data centre. Mixed, racked and half-documented stock is the normal case here, not the exception.
Data is the part sellers are judged on, so it is the part we document hardest. Every storage device follows the standard the seller nominates — NIST 800-88 Rev.1 purge or clear, DoD 5220.22-M three-pass overwrite, or physical shredding — with each drive serial recorded and returned on a certificate of destruction, alongside the signed chain-of-custody transfer and an e-waste recovery summary the business can report on.
The company is run by its own buyback desk: a small team of buyers and logistics coordinators based in Melbourne and working nationwide. Appraisal, collection and the sanitisation chain are handled in-house rather than brokered out, which is why quotes hold and schedules stick. Every enquiry is read and answered by a buyer, whether it is a single pallet or a full warehouse.
Liquidators & insolvency
Sites that must be cleared before a lease ends, bought in full rather than cherry-picked for the easy stock.
Leasing & asset finance
End-of-term fleets and returned equipment converted into residual value, with the documentation to match.
Corporate & private
Floor-by-floor decommissions and data-centre retirements, collected at a time that suits the business.
How we are set up
One team owns the appraisal, the truck and the destruction chain, so nothing is handed off between brokers.

The earlier the manifest lands, the faster the stock converts to cash. One list is all we need to start.
